Letter writing credit repair programs are one of the reasons why so many people despise the credit repair business. When I entered the debt collection industry, about a year later I started meeting people that called themselves credit repairers. Most of them were fakes.

They only got into the business to make some extra money while they were looking for another full time job. Many of these people had bad credit themselves. How did I know this? I used to work with them. A couple of them I used to supervise.

Over the years I have heard dozens of complaints about letter writers. Here are just a few of them. All they did was take my money and write a few letters. They just took my money and never got back with me. When I called them back their number was disconnected. Letter writers generally claim to have specialized letters or special relationship with creditors and collection firms in which in most cases is not true. I still meet people that have not forgotten their bad experiences that they had up to 25 years ago. The problem with this program is that when the credit repairers do not follow up, they create more problems than they solve. Give me a holler and tell me what you think.
