Did I get your attention? Have you seen a statement like this in your in-box, or an advertisement on the Internet making this claim? If you have bad credit, this might get your interest. If only life was so simple. People could routinely get all negative things deleted from their credit reports.
Credit repairers that make this proposition are counting on being able to either bombard creditors, collection firms and credit bureaus with a bunch of letters requesting a lot of bogus information or trying to find some loop hole in the Fair Credit Reporting Act. In the old days (prior to the year 2000) it was common for many creditors to not investigate these letters. Instead of taking the time to investigate, they would either delete negative information such as 30, 60 day late payment or delete accounts.
What usually happens is that when some accounts are deleted, hope is increased that the rest of them will be deleted also. What usually happens is that the person is not only given the impression that although this might take a few months to accomplish, it will also cost a few hundred dollars to get this accomplished. Although the other accounts are not deleted, no money is returned.
If you would like to make sure you know what can and cannot be deleted from your credit reports, I would be glad to help you out. You can e-mail me at [email protected] or call me at 313-744-5944. If you are ready to start getting your credit in order, then act now.
