As a person that used to work in management of collection firms, it was not uncommon for debtors that didn’t have a lot of knowledge about the collection process to have a friend or relative talk on their behalf. To make matters worse, 98% of people would have a friend or relative that had no clue about the collection process talk on their behalf. Many times, these clueless friends or relatives caused consumers to get sued and garnished.
